SHORTS//SHORTS//SHORTS

Spring is slowly rolling in and winter is fading away. Festival season has officially started!

What a perfect time to bring out those shorts and show off your great legs! There are so many great styles of shorts to choose from, possibilities are endless. From the festival look to dressing them up for a more sophisticated look.

One of the main looks this spring will be the high waisted short! With high waisted shorts, outfitting is endless. They go great with cropped tops, tucked in tops, and tied tops.

I love that the paper bag shorts are making a come back this spring! It really dresses up the look and gives it a contemporary feel. As much as we would love to wear the denim high waisted shorts on a daily basis most of us need to have that professional look as well. They are also flattering to the shape of our womanly bodies.

PRINTED shorts are also a great way to make your outfit unique. For our bloggers that love the "basic" look this is a fun way to express yourself. They come in all styles too. The pom pom shorts are going to be very in style this spring and summer!  Wearing print on print is also a classic trend that keeps on trending. It really works will when you have one small print and one bigger print.

Last few years the romper has been the look! This year we will be seeing our favorite 90's look the overalls making a come back!! They come in all sorts of fabrications, prints and styles. I love the boyfriend fit! They also come as dresses too!

With all these great options and with the sun shining put those shorts on and enjoy spring!

Color Theory: Shady as Possible; Fall '14

For Fall 2014, many toned down Earthy Nature colors were presented on the designers' runways.

Beige

One of the best icon of Fall fashion is trench coat. The camel color of this trench coat gives warm and chic look at the same time. This piece by 3.1 Phillip Lim gives very simple over-sized look.

Toned down, yet have some mellow colors to the design. Acne Studio has presented very unique pattern that does not pop out and blends well into the Fall. From this runway, it was very easy to catch what kind of hue the designer is aiming for.

Monotone beige. Looks very relaxing, warm and comfortable. Again, Marc Jacobs has shown us the color "beige" is one of the color for our Fall, all time.

Dull but Bright?!

There cannot be only dull, relaxing and neutral colors! There should be some fun colors into it!

Alexander Wang's Fall runway was very fun to see. Although the main theme was neutral tone, there was a bit of color into it so that the garments do not look boring.

This loosely knitted stripe dress and shirt resembles fall! Just love how Balenciaga made the Fall so unique and fun. This medium of garments give the sense of fall but on the other hand by using cool tone, it also gives chicness.

Black & White

My last post will be about our best trend, and forever trend, black&white.

For this Fall, like always, black and white fashion was presented for many runways, but one interesting to see was that there was one emphasis that designers made which was innovative and not typical to see. (BCBG runway)

Also, Chloe's runway gave very fresh looks and different interpretations of black and white.

Chloe presented black and white fashion in different ways. By using patterns and prints, black and white trend is not boring or typical, yet fun!

Color. The very use of it dazzles the eye, making it dance from one corner to the next. To take spectacular colors to create a print, creates wearable art that fashion gals artfully mix and match into this self-proclaimed 'print party' of a trend.

Who said color clashing had to be limited to clothing? The purple dip-dye, yellow varsity jacket, and costume jewelry strikes a note between Madonna circa 1980 and modern-day Laker fan.

A notable nod to the eccentric style of the Japanese Harajuku girls.

Like a walking piece of fashion and art, the lines and colors in this ensemble are reminiscent of the Bauhaus art.

PRINT REPORT : Tavern Fever

SPRING IS HERE!! Well in Southern California at least!

Traditionally we tend to like to wear lighter fabrics and prints in the spring. This spring though we are changing the print that is typically used in the Fall/Winter lines. Tavern, Plaid, Gingham are the three main looks we have scene.

Even though red is a darker color for spring, with the lighter fabrications and textiles the designers are creating this awesome pieces that the bloggers are styling so perfectly! The print on print is calming when you look the colors she chose to put together. We also love that the print is enlarged and made to feel a little but more feminine.

From Button-up shirts, to Bottoms, Dresses, Jackets, Skirts, Bags, and Shoes these geometric and classic prints are mix-matched and perfect change for the Spring 2014!

Another GREAT and AMAZING idea about these prints is the fact that any age group, target market, or demographic location can put together an outfit with these prints. Classic geometric prints are not just for the business class work life style! Have fun and get inspired by the Irish this week and celebrate plaids for Spring 2014!
